Brittany Foss is one of the newest members of the MD ESTHETICS team. After working in a hospital for ten years as a lab technician, Brittany went back to school for seven months to learn to be a cosmetic laser technician, graduating at the top of her class.

Brittany enjoys relaxing weekends at Shawnigan Lake with her fiancé and her Soft-Coated Wheaton Terrier, Scout, but is excited to return to work at MDE on Mondays where, she says, “We simply have the best work environment there is.”

As a cosmetic laser technician, Brittany works under the supervision of cosmetic physicians Dr. Banks and Dr. Milkovich evaluating the skin care concerns of clients, conferring with the doctors to develop the best treatment plan and applying the laser treatments.

Brittany performs laser tattoo removal, laser hair removal, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), Fraxel laser, laser spider vein removal, CoolSculpting, HydraFacials and other treatments. She also assists the doctors as they administer Botox and injectable filler procedures.

We asked Brittany what she enjoyed most about her work.

“The best part of my job is helping people achieve their goals, making a treatment plan and seeing people feeling good about the results,” she said.

“I’ve worked in the hospital setting where people are very sick with severe illnesses like cancer and are unhappy and getting bad news a lot of the time. Here, people are feeling confident and optimistic about making improvements to their appearance. Good news is such a nice change, and it makes me feel amazing to see clients happy.”

Why Brittany loves working at MD ESTHETICS

“I have never worked with people in a medical setting that are as sweet and kind and giving as the people at MDE,” she said. “We all get along well so when clients come in, we can, as a strong team, offer them the full attention they deserve. The doctors are kind and thank us all the time when we are working. That’s not something I ever experienced in a hospital setting.

My first week in this job was one hundred times better than the last ten years of my previous job. I couldn’t have asked for anything better!”
