Science and technology have created laser treatments to help you Look Amazing at any age!

Laser technology for skin rejuvenation encompasses a variety of laser treatments. Among the many advanced technologies offered at MD ESTHETICS are IPL, MIXto SX Micro Fractional CO2 Laser and Fraxel® SR Laser. Let’s take a look at how each one is different and what their best uses are.

  1. IPL stands for Intense Pulse Light. Also known as a photofacial treatment it delivers broadband light through the skin for skin rejuvenation. IPL helps restore a youthful looking skin and is most often used for sun-damaged skin and broken capillaries (spider veins). IPL helps decrease facial redness, lessens the appearance of pigmented spots, reduces pore size and improves texture and fine lines. It is most effective when used on lighter skin tones.
  1. The MIXto SX Micro Fractional CO2 Laser is a revolutionary skin rejuvenation treatment that treats many disorders associated with skin aging. With fractionated technology and the added intensity of carbon dioxide energy, It stimulates the formation of new skin collagen, tightening the skin and removing the signs of aging including pigmentation disorders and that “leathery look”, allowing you to have smooth, healthy, younger-looking skin. The results last for years and can be used on any skin tones.

Considered the gold standard of fractional laser technology, the CO2 Laser delivers more results with one 30-minute treatment than other lasers achieve in three treatments. Results can be seen immediately and skin continues to improve for up to 6 months after treatment. MIXto Fractional CO2 Laser resurfacing gives dramatic results that last for years with rapid recovery, simple after-care and short downtime.

  1. Fraxel® SR Laser with fractionated laser technology but without the carbon dioxide energy of MIXto, is used to treat wrinkles, age spots, and melasma acquired from years of accumulated sun-damage to the skin. Like MIXto, it is for treating areas on the face such as around the lips (smokers lines) and eyes, and body areas such as the neck, arms and hands. It is also very effective for acne scars. Fraxel is non-invasive and clinically proven to be safe and easily managed into your skin-care routine. Results can be seen after 1 – 5 treatments and skin continues to improve for up to 4 months after treatment.

With such a variety of laser treatments available, it is important to speak with your cosmetic physician. Dr. Banks and Dr. Milkovich invite you to make an appointment at MD ESTHETICS to discuss which laser treatment is the correct approach to addressing your specific concerns.
